Open Access Policy

In alignment with its commitment to fostering an open and collaborative research community, the journal adopts an immediate open-access approach to its content. As a result, the journal provides unrestricted download and reading privileges to all individuals with internet access, thereby facilitating widespread accessibility and dissemination of valuable research findings.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors of published articles retain copyright. While authors may publish their work elsewhere, proper citation using the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) of the original article is required. Authors are kindly requested to notify the journal in advance if there is an intention to publish their paper elsewhere.

From September 2019, articles published in the journal are licensed under the Creative Commons (CC BY-NC 4.0) licence, allowing content reuse for non-commercial purposes such as research or education. Users are free to use, reproduce, disseminate, or display the content, with due attribution to the original authors, limited to non-commercial objectives. It is important to note that authors retain unrestricted rights, permitting commercial use.

Publication Fees

The journal refrains from imposing charges on authors for the publication of their articles. Both the submission and processing of articles are exempt from fees.

Preprint Policy

Preprints refer to the author's rendition of a research manuscript before undergoing formal peer review for journal publication, and these are typically deposited on a public server. The act of posting preprints is not regarded as prior publication and will not compromise the manuscript's consideration for acceptance by the journal. Consequently, authors are permitted to upload earlier versions of their manuscripts to preprint servers, subject to the following conditions:

  • Authors retain copyright to the preprint and works derived from it, retaining the right to submit it to the journal.
  • Authors are required to disclose any prior publications of their manuscript when submitting it to the journal.
  • Authors acknowledge that the public availability of a preprint may compromise their anonymity during the review process, even if the submitted manuscript has been anonymized.
  • If the paper is published, authors are expected to update the information associated with the preprint version to reflect the publication of the final version in the journal, including the DOI directly linking to the publication.
