Focus and Scope

Köz-gazdaság - Review of Economic Theory and Policy (ISSN: 1788-0696) is an edited and peer-reviewed academic journal published in yearly volumes of four issues at Corvinus University of Budapest. The journal is dedicated to promoting the advancement of economic theory and policy and it covers a wide range of topics, including economics, political economy, economics of globalization, economic issues in Central-Eastern Europe and business economics. The journal's focus is on publishing high-quality research that is innovative, interdisciplinary, and holistic, with a particular emphasis on the work of young researchers.

The journal publishes original academic articles, research notes, interviews from leading economists, book reviews and pedagogical practices that contribute to the understanding of economic theory and policy. The journal welcomes submissions in English or in Hungarian from scholars working in a wide range of disciplines, including economics, political science, international relations and other social sciences. With similar objectives we do not charge authors for the publication of their articles. Articles submission and processing is free of charge as well. Users can use and build upon the material published in the journal for non-commercial purposes.

Köz-gazdaság - Review of Economic Theory and Policy aims to respect publication ethics, thus has adopted current best practices to counter plagiarism. The submitted articles are analyzed during the review process, and papers subject to plagiarism are rejected. Authors should also follow the referencing guidelines described in the relevant section.

Publication Frequency

Köz-gazdaság is published in yearly volumes of four issues.

 

Peer Review Process

The journal applies review. Authors are usually notified within two months about the result of the review.  All Köz-gazdaság papers are reviewed using a 'double-blind' process in which reviewers are not informed who are the authors of the paper, as well as the authors not knowing who are the reviewers.


All forms of plagiarism constitute unethical publishing behavior and are unacceptable. Submitted articles are checked by URKUND.
 
 

Archiving Policy

The articles published in Köz-gazdaság are archived in the repository of the Central Library of Corvinus University of Budapest. Our web archive contains all issues since 2006.   

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 
Publication in this journal is completely free (no article submission charges, nor article processing charges and, no publication fees), as one of the main goals of the journal is to provide global researchers with a free publishing platform.
