Focus and Scope

Köz-gazdaság - Review of Economic Theory and Policy (ISSN: 1788-0696, E-ISSN: 2939-8711) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Corvinus University of Budapest, with a quarterly release schedule. Since its inception in 2006, the journal has been committed to exploring how economic theories can shape real-world policy decisions, addressing challenges and opportunities in diverse economic environments. The journal promotes interdisciplinary research that integrates economic theories with insights from related disciplines, providing a holistic understanding of complex economic issues. Additionally, the journal emphasizes methodological and empirical studies focusing on the design, implementation, and evaluation of economic policies across different contexts and geographical regions. Within the Hungarian academic landscape, there is currently no other journal positioned to undertake such a comprehensive mission.

We extend a warm welcome to all authors interested in contributing to our scholarly community. As indicated by statistics from the Central Library of Corvinus University of Budapest, the readership profile is characterized by a balanced distribution, with half originating from the domestic audience and the remaining half from international readership, with significant representation from the United States, Germany, and Russia.

Publisher Information and Business Model

The journal is published by Corvinus University of Budapest, and oversight of publication rests with the university's Rector. The journal is financially supported by Corvinus University of Budapest and the Hungarian Youth Enterprise Support Society. The journal does not impose any fees or charges on authors for manuscript processing or submission. The complete texts of all content featured in the journal are freely accessible, adhering to an open-access model.

Publication Frequency

The journal is released in annual volumes of four issues distributed in March, June, September, and December.

Publication Fees

There are no publication fees associated with this journal, both the submission and processing of articles are free of charge.

Archiving Policy

Articles published in the journal are archived in the Corvinus Research repository, overseen by the Central Library of Corvinus University of Budapest. Additionally, all articles from 2006 onwards are available on our website.
