Abstract

The Russian Federation is the single largest country in the world. Therefore, its
climate differs greatly. In this paper, we analyze the Russian climate change,
and the situation that Russia faces. How will global warming change Russia's
climate system? What are the consequences both in Russia's environment and
in the Russian economic system? Is it possible that, along with the many negative environmental and economic effects, there could be some economic
advantage? How does Russia try to avoid the unfavorable climate changes?
